Kevin Kavanagh

Kevin Kavanagh is a Principal, Global Head of Trading, and Portfolio Manager for Special Situations. He is a member of Taconic’s Investment, Portfolio Risk Management, Valuation, Counterparty Risk, Business Function Management, Business Continuity Plan, and Trading Brokerage and Allocation committees. Mr. Kavanagh joined Taconic in 2000 as an Associate and became a Principal in 2002. Prior to joining Taconic, Mr. Kavanagh worked at Lehman Brothers, Prudential Securities, and John W. Loofbourrow Associates. Mr. Kavanagh is a member of the Economic Club of New York, on the Board of Trustees of Regis High School where he is a member of the Investment committee, and a Founder and a member of the Board of Playsmart, Inc. Mr. Kavanagh received a B.S.E. in Civil Engineering & Architecture from Princeton University and an M.B.A. from the Amos Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College.
