Erin Rota

Erin Rota is Deputy General Counsel. Ms. Rota joined Taconic in 2013 as Associate General Counsel and became Deputy General Counsel in 2021. In her role, Ms. Rota spends her time primarily supporting the investing desk, including negotiating and drafting transaction documents, structuring investments, and advising on complex issues confronting Taconic’s investment professionals. She works closely with Taconic’s Commercial Real Estate team, overseeing legal aspects of real estate investments from acquisition to exit. Prior to joining Taconic, Ms. Rota worked at Simpson Thatcher & Bartlett, LLP and was a Senior Regional Coordinator for the New York State Assembly Department of Communication Information Services and an Assistant Field Coordinator at the New York State Democratic Assembly Campaign Committee. Ms. Rota earned a B. A. from the State University of New York at Albany, summa cum laude and a J.D. from Cornell Law School, cum laude.
