Nate Kempner

Nate Kempner is a Principal and the Chief Executive Officer/Chief Investment Officer of Taconic. In his role, he is actively involved in all aspects of the firm and funds, overseeing business and portfolio operations. Mr. Kempner joined Taconic in 2010. He was named Co-Chief Investment Officer of the Opportunity Fund in 2024 and became the sole Chief Investment Officer and Chief Executive Officer in 2026. Prior to joining Taconic, he worked at Blackstone Group in the Private Equity Group. Mr. Kempner received a B.S. in Engineering Science (Electrical) and Economics, cum laude and with distinction, in both majors, from Yale University. He also received an M.B.A., with high distinction, from Harvard Business School, where he graduated as a Baker Scholar and received the John L. Loeb Award.
